On May 4, 2023 the Freshwater Center has conducted another event to introduce professions related to environmental conservation and management to future generation of Mongolian leaders. This time the 300 students from the Mongol Temuulel secondary school were invited. During the event, experts working in different environmental fields introduced their work and discussed the importance of career selection at a young age. Given the multitude of environmental problems facing Mongolia – from receding permafrost areas and forest resources, to climate change and soil as well as pasture degradation – they also pointed out that environmental experts will be needed more and more for a sustainable future of their country.
At the same time, the Freshwater Center introduced a related vacancy announcement as it is looking for a research, training, and sustainable education specialist. Interested applicants can find detailed information on the Center’s Facebook page, and an application can be prepared using the following online form.
